Modernization of the Corporate Communications Network for Intergas Central Asia
Incorporated in July 1997, joint stock company Intergas Central Asia is responsible for operation and maintenance of the gas transportation networks of Kazakhstan transferred to the Company under the terms of trust management. The Company is a subsidiary of the national operator, namely, KazTransGas group, in the field of gas and gas supplies, i.e. and represents the interests of the group in the area of transmission of natural gas through main gas pipeline system. KazTransGas, JSC is the major gas supply company in the Republic of Kazakhstan representing the interests of the government on the domestic gas market and worldwide.
The objective of the project was the creation of a reliable controllable converged communication network, which is able to provide effective interaction between the geographically dispersed local networks, which became the main complication in this project.
New equipment and software had to be integrated into the existing central monitoring and network management system. One of the requirements was to switch over for using the new equipment without breaks in communications between the users, as it can cause production losses. As part of the project we inspected the communications network and the objects, which had to be modernized. AVENCOM developed new communications network architecture and procured necessary equipment and software.
After carrying out factory acceptance tests, our engineers configured the communications network and successfully completed its installation and precommissioning.
