AVENCOM successfully completed the Phase II project for the deployment of an Optasense Pipeline Condition Monitoring & Surveillance system (PCMS) for the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. export pipeline. Pipeline Condition Monitoring & Surveillance system (PCMS) for Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP has been successfully commissioned on-site and handed over. The system, also so-called Pipeline Intruder Detection, was ordered as a Pilot Project in May 2011 through Zeinet LLP. PCMS is a fibre optic based distributed acoustic sensor system, developed by QinetiQ/Optasense, UK.
